The Bear Finale: Forced Hibernation

Once it got cooking, I really enjoyed the second season of The Bear-- especially the Christmas flashback episode with all the wild behavior and various cameos-- but the season finale got a bit melodramatic and used a plot device that was more appropriate for an episode of Three's Company than the frenetic but fairly realistic world of the Berzatto clan.

episode six (the xmas flashback) was fucking traumatic in the best possible way. up there on the list of best television episodes. jamie lee curtis should win an emmy for guest appearance.

yes, what an episode-- that one and "ballad of bill and frank"-- the last of us-- the one with nick offerman-- those are the two best episodes of TV since the shield finale . . .
