Last night, the LED placard on the side of the
Springfield Inn advertised three special events:
1) $3 COORS LIGHT 4 PM to Close
2) $3 TWISTED TEA 4 PM to Close
3) TODAY ON THE DECK . . .
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED;
and I imagine the band meeting where the guys (had to be guys, right?) decided on that moniker went something like this:
Dude #1: Dude, we should name ourselves the stupidest thing possible and see if we can still get gigs!
Dude# 2: Challenge Accepted!

On the sign did they actually have the dollar sign after the number, or was that just the work of the brainiac who writes this blog?
Is there an NJ rule that you have to wear sandals to a bar?
I have never worn sandals, let alone to a bar in NJ.
Are you walking around Sea Isle with a shoebox?
I think that is a box of wine. Dave seems very proud of it.
Z - you may be breaking some new statute for middle aged Jerseyites.
I'm from northern NJ, where grown men keep their feet to themselves.
Except in the bathtub
that is a box of wine. i was very proud of it.
and i always screw up that dollar sign thing . . . putting it in front says "dollars three" to me. i'm very literal.
