Homeless Elbow
Two days ago in Boulder, my friend Ryan and his wife Cat were attacked by a homeless man with a club-- Ryan took a shot to the head before Cat wrested the club from the attacker and beat him with it-- she reported in the paper that her arm was sore from bludgeoning the itinerant . . . seriously!

I've never been to Boulder, but I've heard it's beautiful, and I have seen pictures--there has never been mention or photographic evidence of the homeless there, especially brandishing clubs. I have a sneaking suspicion that they may have attacked the last surviving caveman. If so, A lot of people in the academic community are going to be upset; I on the other hand, applaud their courage.
that's not exactly an endorsement of ryan's manliness. and i know ryan and find him quite manly.
