Lola turned two today, and she's enjoying something Sirius never had: outdoor lighting. A few months ago, I strung some Sunthin outdoor patio lights on our back porch. Two 48 foot strands. There's even a remote control. All those years of taking the dog out back before bed, and I never did it with any kind of lighting. Sometimes I would take a flashlight. But now we do it in style.
The theme this week is that some ideas take a LONG time to implement. You've just got to hang in there until your brain does something good.
I caught the low-voltage LED lighting bug about 8 years ago. Now planes make their turn for EWR directly overhead. But don’t let it fool you. Just because it’s “low-voltage, it doesn’t mean it won’t throw you backwards if you forget to turn off the transformer while splicing. The other downside is the dogs now need sunscreen before they go out at night...
ReplyDeletei would never splice without turning off the transformer! that's madness!
ReplyDeletein a moment, i'll google "splice" and "transformer," but i'm guessing the transformer is the thing that connects to the outdoor plug socket and has remote capability.
