When I finish certain books I come here to see if you've commented on them. Today, Infinite Jest. It seems like your comments were more about you reading the book than the book itself. Although perhaps that's what Wallace intended...
wow - you finished it? nice. I got stuck, even though i liked it -- i got stuck during that giant wargame tennis ball simulation game. was it worth it?
Yeah, I finished it in like 10 days. A binge like that was probably unhealthy in terms of the tone and content of the book. I'm currently filled with nothingness.
For the most I liked it a lot, although the conclusion was not as conclusive and I generally prefer. Which is probably to be expected in that kind of book.
I loved the Eschaton scene. Probably because if I were one of the tennis kids I would've been obsessed with it.
yeah, i remember the writing being great -- he could do any style, tone or genre at the drop of a hat. eschaton would have been right up your alley. i should give it one more try and finish the damn thing.

Also the quality of writing was extremely good, especially for a modern book.
