The Last of the Dialers?

I can still recall the home phone number of a few of my childhood friends (several days ago, my wife needed to call the father of one of my old friends and I was instantly able to produce the phone number from memory) and this leads to my two questions of the day . . . and these questions may only apply to people of my generation and older:

1) Can you remember any phone numbers from your youth?

2) Will ours be the last generation that can do this?

i had a very similar experience a few weeks ago - dialed my high school best friend's phone number by memory.

your daughters will never experience this joy.

of course, they'll be able to teleport to their best friend's house in shanghai, so it's probably an even trade.

I had the same conversation a few months ago with a friend from high school. I still remember his parents' phone number but I have no idea what his is.

my first phone # had only 5 digits (28962) and my best friend's # was 44434. Yep Charlottetown was small.
