that's a good idea-- but i'll allow my kids the grated cheese, but they'll have to slice and fry their own potato chips. or maybe i'll make them dry their own fruit leather.
I was reading a recent Malcolm Gladwell piece that showed the direct correlation between kids who grate their own cheese and juvenile crime--groundbreaking really.

that's why i bought my kids their own cheese grater for christmas. i want to keep them grounded. before i start keeping them grounded in another way.
